In the Maluti, we've always known it. We just never gave it a name.

The highest mountains in Southern Africa. Air that bites. Passes that climb into cloud. And at the end of it — a blanket over the shoulders, something warm in hand, and no reason to hurry.

That is the Après. This is Après-Maluti.

The Outside Blanket

Where we're from, wearing a blanket has never been a faux pas. It's heritage. It's status. It's warmth carried with pride across generations of these mountains.

We honour that tradition — by not touching it.

The ceremonial blanket belongs to ceremony. Your good throw belongs on the couch. Neither of them belongs at the braai, in the boot, on damp grass at a lookout point, or over your shoulders on a mountain pass.

That's where we come in.
